I’m Sheree Chambers, a passionate sleep consultant dedicated to helping families find the sleep they deserve. Let me share a bit about myself and why I’m here to support you on your sleep journey.
I’m a mum in my early forties (that feels weird to write), blessed with three beautiful children who bring endless joy and adventure to my life. My world revolves around my 3-year-old MCDA Identical twin boys, Isaiah and Archie, and my energetic 4.5-year-old girl, Elliot. Alongside them, I have a loving husband named Bohan and our furry companion, Echo, an enthusiastic Kelpie.
How I became obsessed with sleep
My fascination with sleep began when my daughter was just six weeks old. Like many new parents, I experienced the challenges that come with having a baby who suffered from colic. In those sleep-deprived moments, I found myself questioning every life choice I had made.
It was during this time of total sleep deprivation that a dear friend reached out and introduced me to some simple sleep strategies that completely transformed our lives. I became utterly captivated by the power of healthy sleep habits.
What struck me the most was the profound impact sleep had on a parent’s mental health. It became abundantly clear that a well-rested parent is better equipped to handle the daily joys and challenges of raising a child. With this realisation, I felt a deep calling to share my newfound knowledge and support other families so that they wouldn’t have to endure the same struggles.
When my twin boys arrived, I understood firsthand the importance of quality sleep. My husband, who has the sleeping disorder narcolepsy, further emphasised the significance of restful sleep in our household. We quickly learned that when both parents had ample sleep, we were more effective communicators and worked together as a team. Sleep had an unexpected benefit of helping our relationship become even stronger.
Sharing my passion
Being a mum is a role I cherish with all my heart, but I’ve come to appreciate it even more when I prioritise my own sleep. I firmly believe that every family deserves the same opportunity to thrive through the power of restful nights. That’s why I decided to pursue a qualification as a sleep consultant, and as of June 2023, I’m proud to say that I’m a certified sleep consultant.
